Captured on the remote North Sikkim Plateau between Giagong and Cholamu, this evocative image documents a traditional yak caravan traversing the stark, high-altitude landscape. Using a Nikon FM loaded with Kodachrome 64, the photographer masterfully preserved the timeless quality of the Himalayan wilderness. The composition highlights the resilience of both the animals and their handlers against the vast, rugged terrain. spectacular +!!
I really like the effect of the plateau seeming to stretch away into the clouds and the azure blue sky!
Perfect harmony in this picture, is like the whole nature embraced the caravan to help it find its path
The feeling is quite ethereal.. the puffy clouds in the deep blue sky and the yaks below!
Beautiful sky and clouds and the plateau below! Lovely
The terrain in this Trans Himalayan region is quite amazing. I have seen this is Ladakh and now North Sikkim is similar. Fine photograph.
Quite nice, I do love spacey photos of that kind. But looks kinda overdone. Too sharp, distracting. My eyes keep focusing on the top right cloud.
Wonderful location and photograph
